We're almost ready to go!

Graysky is now available to pre-order on the App Store, with the launch date set for October the 21^st!

I'm so excited to finally be able to share Graysky with you all. I've been working on this app for almost 6 months now, and I'm so proud of what I've been able to build. I hope you all love it as much as I do. It's been a crazy ride - thousands of you have signed up to be beta testers, and I've received hundreds of bug reports and feature requests. I'm so grateful for all of your support.

What's Graysky again?

Graysky is a third-party client for the social media platform Bluesky. Built with React Native, Graysky aims to provide a fast, reliable, and beautiful experience for Bluesky users on both Android and iOS. Graysky is completely free to use, and will always be open source.

What's next?

I'll be making some more exciting accouncements in the run-up to launch, so stay tuned!

Pondering advanced features for a premium version is interesting. I guess inline translation might be one. More advanced search/ filtering features. I assume post length is part of the protocol and not clients.

I posted a link to a book review but when I checked my post I couldn’t click on it. My sighted partner tried it without voiceover on and it worked fine. Finally, where users are tagged in a post I’m not able to click on them to view their profile. Hope that all makes sense, thanks again 😆 2/2

Hi again, I’m using Voiceover on the latest version of IOS & have enjoyed using Graysky for 2 weeks in beta. I just downloaded the full app & found on opening it it’s totally unresponsive! Not sure what’s happened but accessibility is broken. I’ve gone back to the beta. Please look into this for me

Of course!! I’ve received a couple of reports of this and I am completely puzzled what has happened - I have no clue what would cause the release build to do this. It’s a top priority for the next update

It’s great. But an option to automaticaltranslation in any language would be even bette. Now you have to push everyone the google translate button. Second: the translation with deepl works much better.

To be honest, I’m not sure! Never done this before. But I do think you have to redownload the proper app, yes

If it’s the same app ID then the version you request will over write the app installed but you have to manually approve it. Works both directions mind you.
